New Moon Intention Setting Yin Workshop 11th April 2021
Time & Location
About the event
When the Moon is new, the Luminaries -- the Sun and Moon - are aligned in the same Zodiac sign.. That makes it a charged time with concentrated energies of that sign. A New Moon is a symbolic point of attention and a symbolic portal for new beginnings. In Yoga the Sun and Moon are symbolic, Hatha is also translated as ha meaning “sun” and tha meaning “moon.” This refers to the balance of masculine aspects—active, hot, sun—and feminine aspects—receptive, cool, moon—within all of us. Hatha yoga is a path toward creating balance and uniting opposites.
What a perfect time for us to combine Yoga and setting intentions. We can do this using mantra's or affirmations whilst going through some slow long held poses (Yin Yoga). Yin yoga stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility. ... This blocks the flow of nutrients and energy through the body, causing pain and limiting mobility.
No experience is necessary and all levels, bodies, ages are welcome. If we haven't met before please email me with you experience in Yoga (if any) and any conditions or injuries I should be aware of and I look forward to practicing with you.
No cancellations, although if you are unable to make the event it will be recorded and saved for 2 weeks for you to access via zoom.
Should you have any questions please get in touch. With love. Nadia
